"ALERT! 5:15 this morning (November 26, 2012).  We live on Wensley Drive where Seacroft deadends. I noticed our security light go on in our driveway and when I went to look out the front window(we live on the hill) I saw a hooded figure running up my neighbor's driveway. When he came back down he was joined by another kid in a hood who had been checking cars in the driveways across the street. I then watched them run up the next neighbor's driveway. I was on the phone with 911 while they walked east on Wensley and made a left on Seacroft. I ran to wake up my husband to look at our security camera footage. Sure enough, we recorded both of them in our driveway with flashlights looking into our vehicles. My car had been unlocked and our security light coming on probably saved my GPS from being stolen. Both had hoods, full ski masks, sweat pants and one had a backpack. We let the police know that we had the footage but they said it wouldn't help with the masks on...not sure if they found them this morning. PLEASE lock your cars and don't leave any valuables visible in your car. I could not believe they came all the way up our long, uphill driveway....they were fast and organized."

This family did the right thing.   Please call all suspicious people and vehicles in as soon as you see them.   Share the info with your neighbors by posting alerts on this site.   If we all get in the habit of reporting things asap these thieves will not pick our neighborhood to do their crimes.  They will go some place where the neighbors are not watching out for each other.

911 does not mind you calling. They want you to call these things in.

You do not have to have the police come to your home.  The police will not ID you to a suspect.

So do the safe thing for every one and call any and all activity in so the police can check these people out.
