Charlotte Runway 5k 
The 6th Annual Runway 5K Walk Run will take place on Saturday, October 27 at 8 a.m. Runners will be able to experience the airport from the prospective of the Charlotte Airport runway. The proceeds will go to LifeSpan, a program that benefits children and adults with development disabilities through improvement of life opportunities.3

Charlotte Recycles Event
A local recycling event hosted by the Keep Charlotte Beautiful Committee is giving citizens the opportunity to get rid of their paper and electronics in an environmentally friendly way. The event is set for Saturday, November 10th from 10a.m. to 3p.m. at the Wal-Mart (8180 S. Tryon Street). Document shredding services will also be provided.

Panther Tailgaters Recycling
In efforts to create awareness about the benefits of recycling, Solid Waste Services, the Carolina Panthers, Keep America Beautiful, and the Charlotte Center City Partners have teamed up to encourage tailgaters to recycle.
Volunteers spend time during the Carolina Panthers games with tailgaters, sharing information on recycling and passing out recycling bags.
More volunteers are needed and encouraged to come out and help.
