Madison Park Homeowners Association's National Night Out Street Party Event returns on Tuesday 8/7/12. This year's event will be larger than ever.
Madison Park invites all our residents, and their invited guest to come out to the largest National Night Out Event in the Charlotte Area. Meet your local police, all our sponsors, a new neighbor or two, and join in a variety of fun all aimed at making our community a safer place to live.
This years Street Party starts at 6 PM and runs until 9 PM on Tuesday 8/7/12 along Fairbanks Road, between Wedgewood Drive and Valley Forge. Street closes at noon to begin set up. Amusements will be on site from 3 amusement companies this year. Residents can once again choose to get wet on various water attractions including a giant dual water slide / slip n slide combo, or have some fun on our dry attractions.
All our 2012 event Sponsors including Target the Official National Night Out Sponsor will be on site. Other sponsors joining in the fun this year are Showmars (Emerywood), AutoBell, Toppers Pizza, Al's Pizza, CIEE, Queens University, LIberty Mutual-agent Jeremy Podjuban, Party Time Events, Rent A Me USA, Your Event Source, Sutton House Dilworth, and Sausam Bakery / Mas Menos - Tienda Salvadorena. Special Thanks to Council Member Claire Fallon for her support.
Entertainment will be on both ends of the venue this year.
Analog Daze will perform on the Wedgewood Drive Entrance
Morristowne Brass Ensemble & Friends will be appearing at the Valley Forge Entrance, along with the
Senior African Drummers from the McCrorey YMCA, and the Magic Hips Dancers from Yasmine's Dance Studio
There will be some chairs at the entertainment areas this year. Attendees should consider bringing a blanket to sit on, or folding chairs so you can sit and enjoy the entertainers.
Game Truck Charlotte will also take part.
Providence Road Church of Christ, Wedgewood Church, and Sharon United Methodist Church at South Park will have booths at this years event.
The Senior Center Tyvola Road, Scaleybark Library, District Attorney's Office, Pinewood Elementary, Gifted Gardner's, and the host of this event your Madison Park HOA, will all have booths at this years event.
Most food items will be free while the food last, including pizza, hot dogs, watermelon, and ice cream. Some food items will carry a charge this year.

Remember to expect heavy pedestrian traffic when driving in the area. Portions of Fairbanks will close at Noon to begin set up. Drivers South of Tyvola should use Londonderry Road or Farmbrook Drive to avoid the venue area. Please don't block private driveways. If parking on the north side of Tyvola consider parking at Wedgewood Church and be sure to cross Tyvola only at the crosswalk.
Local politicians in attendance confirmed are Council Member Dulin, Council Member Fallon, and Council Pickering.
