Recyling Calendars

Posted in: Madison Park

It looks like we might have to recycle our recycling calendars this year.   It still works since the weeks are pretty much the same..just the date is off for our Green Weeks.

I had called 311 and the operator she was not sure, but she needed one herself. She told me she would send me a new one.  So I thought they must have them.  On Monday I got the package, but it contained no calendar just recycling info.

Anyway a few people have asked me if we were getting new ones.  It looks like perhaps the answer is no.

SmileThe city has done the work and provided us with a link to print it yourself.

Just go to ... there are copies available in black and white or in color.

Great...thanks...for the research.....

Jessica e-mailed this am and said she had like 20 can violations for being on the curb this am, instead of removed at midnight per the rules of the city.

We wish to try and help folks get the right cans out on the right days, and then back off the curb.

That way folks can avoid a $50 dollar fine.

Some folks seem to have become slack in can removal.   If your neighbor is on vacation do them a favor and take their cans off the curb for them.   I am sure they will be thankful.

If you know your neighbor has health issues consider rolling their cans off the street for them.   They can sometimes qualify for assistance form the city where a truck will roll the can out and empty.  However to do this their can't be a healthy abled person living in the home.

You can also call 311 and report if you need a new can lid, or some type of repair.   I understand we have a few cans missing lids.   City will come out and repair the can or replace if it needs replacing.
