About 6pm a young woman about late 20’s was ringing our doorbell and knocking on the front door. When I went to the door she pulled open the storm door and acted like she was just coming in. I did not back up so she leaned on the storm door. She had a bottle of cleaner (like you can buy anywhere) in her hand, no paper towels or rags. She was very loud and pushy. She stated they were a business starting up in our area and wanted to come in and demonstrate how they clean. At the same time I heard someone at the back porch, they ran into the recycling can which had a lot of “noisy” stuff in it. My neighbor also heard them. Of course I would not let her into the house because I was not interested and I also felt it was some type of scam. After I closed the door my son saw the woman go around the house then head back toward the street. We have a fence around the backyard.
I talked to my neighbor shortly after this happened and the young woman had tried to get her to let her into her house. They are in an older white work van. The side doors have windows in them. I did not see who was driving the van or the tag number.
