I had someone ask why the bus parking lot was being removed.  I walked up and noticed it appeared to be select cuts for possibly trees and medians.   Turns out that is the reason.

You are correct.  When we changed the zoning from educational to office/administrative space the City required that we plant more trees.  The cuts are being made for tree islands.
