The HOA is already hearing complaints regarding residents, and their guest parking on the new sidewalk.

The HOA does not enforce parking rules.  However we can try and help educate.

Parking on the sidewalk completely, or even partially is against the law.   I have personally seen this a couple of times, and at one location vehicles could of clearly been pulled forward to not block the sidewalk.

CDOT has stated they tried to work with each household to maximize your parking prior to the start of the project.  I hope that was the case.  I know I have seen some driveways that are now larger.

Unfortunately if you do not have enough space to park your choices are limited.

1. Park completely all 4 wheels on the street pavement

2.Create more parking space by enlarging your driveways, or creating a new parking pad per the city requirements.

If this continues to be a problem then residents finding blocked sidewalks while out walking need to call 911 to have an officer address.   911 will not rush out immediately to address, but will handle when their more higher priority calls are complete.  Since we have officers in the neighborhood all the time it will not require a special dispatch.  You do not have to be contacted by CMPD, or give name if you decide this is your only option.

I hate that our officers are having to take time to deal with people parking on sidewalks.  Unfortunately that was the case in past years along Wedgewood Drive and Seneca Place when some chose to park how they pleased without giving much concern to their neighbors walking on the sidewalks.    In the past we even had some people that ignored the friendly warnings of the officers.  This resulted in the violator having to be ticketed before they stopped blocking, or using the walk as their personal driveways.   Hopefully the word can get out to stop this and save residents from being ticketed/fined.

FYI these complaints I have received have come from Murrayhill residents ...even one family that has the sidewalk in front of their home.
