Madison Park

Waste Management Collection Educational Purpose

Posted in: Madison Park

We also had at our Jan. meeting a resident that was upset because she had been left a warning card for not removing her trash can by midnight on pick up day. Again this is not a Madison Park rule it is a City of Charlotte Rule. This person was under the impression that some neighbor had called turning her in.  That of course could of been the case as any of the occupants of the 2350 homes in Madison Park or for that matter anywhere in the City of Charlotte could of called 311 or gone on-line to 311.  Apparently this does happen a lot since it is on the list of common nuisances under code complaints.  (link is on our home page if anyone wonders what they are)   This as I have stated before is not always the case someone has turned you in for something.  I have said prior that sometimes it is a field observance.    Turns out the New Code Inspector present at the meeting Stated That she had Observed the violation while driving through our community and left the blue card for educational (warning) purpose.  The card only pointed out what the fine $50 dollars was for continued failure to follow the city rules.    If you are not physically able to remove your cans you can request the Disability Collection.  You will not have to bring your can to the curb or remove it if you qualify.    It will be done by Waste Management.  Call the number below if you possibly need this service.   Some of the city rules might sound a bit picky but they really are all designed to keep neighborhoods like Madison Park looking their best.   I personally appreciate our inspectors working hard for our neighborhoods to keep them looking their best.
