Crime is spotty and not really that bad. You can research it yourself by looking at the start of our minutes online going back to 2002. Look right hand margin home page and click on them. Info is at the beginning each month. Most of the time it is garage doors, unlocked doors, or unsecured yard tools that get swiped. Interior I would guess is the area with the least amount of activity. Break ins come in spurts but there are enough folks around that they normally don't go unsolved. Break ins normally travel Starmount, Montclaire, and then Madison Park. Almost always a good discripton is obtained of mode of travel or of suspects. CMPD also keeps the HOA updated and we send out alerts and post info if the need occurs on this site.
People are pretty pro active in this neighborhood and do a fairly good job of calling things in to 911 that look out of place.
kschwartz@cmpd.org Officer Swartz is one of our community officers. Shoot her an e-mail and I am sure she could give you a little more info that might assist with your decision.
All the fringe area have easier access to get away so that is another reason I say stick with interior streets.
Really no more crime here than Dilworth or other neighborhoods.
