Nature at Night Fest!

Peer at the moon through a telescope, sniff out a spider and prowl an owl, roast a marshmallow and go on a hayride, enjoy live music, better yet do them all and more at our nature at night festival. Ray’s Haunted Tour - Ray’s Splash Planet, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. $2/per person for carnival in gym. $3/per person for the haunted tour
Witches, ghosts and goblins, OH MY! Our indoor Halloween event last year was such a great success that we've decided to do it again this year. Join us for the spook-tacular haunted tour through the facility and the carnival in the gym. This event is open to your whole family and promises to provide a howling good time for the little ones. Creepy Crawly Celebration! - Reedy Creek Nature Center, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. All Ages, FREE
Celebrate all that’s creepy and crawly Halloween weekend! Most creatures in our world are not warm and fuzzy, but that doesn’t make them any less lovable. Come see for yourself how these creatures play an important role in our environment. Live animals, touch tanks, costume contest, marshmallow roast, and trick or treating included. FREE hot chocolate! Chills and Thrills Fall Festival - West Charlotte Rec Center, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Ages 4-17, FREE
Activities include a hayride, games, popcorn, costume and dance contest, storytelling and much more. This event is guaranteed fun for the whole family. Children younger than 7 years of age, will need to be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call 704-393-1560.
Trunk or Treat at the Thomasboro Recreation Site - 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Ages 13 –under, FREE
Children age 13 and under can dress up in Halloween costumes and trick or treat from car to car in the safety of the Thomasboro Academy parking lot. Volunteers with cars who can decorate their open trunks and that can distribute goodies to the children are needed. For more information, call 704-399-3911.
