Hey neighbors:
A big *THANK YOU* to everyone who participated in the workday yesterday at Madison Central Park!  We logged 379.5 hours earning $7,912.57 towards our grant responsibilities of $25,000. On our grant application we estimated 20 volunteers would attend this event.  Needless to say the amazing community support allowed this goal to be surpassed with ease.  117 people weeded, mulched, hauled, sweat, dug, sawed, installed, built, pruned, raked, laughed, hammered, drilled,  ratcheted--and the result of their combined labor was incredible.  The space looks great!  And we believe everyone met a new neighbor and left their mark on a section of this new community space.  There is still lots of work to do, but with an eager neighborhood team we're off to an excellent start.  Didn't you feel so proud to live in Madison Park?  We did!
Madison Central Park has quickly become a community space for our neighborhood and & a more inviting portion of the Pinewood Elementary campus.   Many of you joined us for lunch in their beautiful media room and met the Principal Trish Sexton and her family who joined us for the event.  Pinewood is always looking for neighborhood volunteers. Please consider getting involved in our neighborhood elementary school.  Follow this link to signup:   https://www.cmsvolunteers.com/volunteer.php?newflag=1
