Neighbors of Madison Park:
Tuesday is National Night Out and myself, Captain Patterson, and Officer Schwartz are looking forward to seeing you all out at the event.
Mr. Doss has shared with me that a few residents expressed concern about coming to the event due to the burglary incidents that occurred in the evening a couple weeks ago. I wanted to take a moment and assure everyone that we (Westover Division) are taking extra steps to ensure the safety and security of the neighborhood during the event. In addition to the regularly scheduled patrol officers, officers on my team have adjusted their schedules to work in the neighborhood during the event. I also have patrol officers signed up to work overtime shifts during the event. The overtime officers and officers from my team will be on dedicated patrols in your neighborhood throughout the event. You will likely not see these officers at the NNO event. They may stop by for a quick hello, but aside from that they will be circulating the neighborhood. While it is impossible to watch every home on every street at every moment, we certainly will have more officers in your neighborhood during this event than we’ve likely ever had at one time. We will do everything we can to make the evening a success.
I wish you all a safe and fun evening out. See you there.
