Dear Southwest Neighborhood Leader,

Once again, the City of Charlotte, Neighborhood and Business Services has partnered with Charlotte Catholic High School for the annual Charlotte Heart Work Camp during the week of July 3-8, 2011.

A group of 400 high school students from across the country will be divided into teams to conduct minor rehab/home repairs in neighborhoods throughout Charlotte.  Projects will include painting, yard work, indoor/outdoor clean up, and minor home repairs.  The work is free.  The only criteria is that you must be a homeowner.

Please see the attached application form.  The deadline for submission is Friday, June 24, 2011.  If you or a member of your neighborhood lives within the Southwest District, please send your application to mepowell@ci.charlotte.nc.us or fax 704-353-0049.  You may also deliver your application to my office which is located in the Wingate neighborhood at the  Wingate Resource Center- 2701 Mayfair Ave.
