Posted in: Madison Park

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Utility crews working along Park Road in South Charlotte ruptured a natural gas line early Sunday morning.

The break has caused police to close in-bound lanes Park Road between Tyvola and Seneca Place. No reports of any injuries. Earlier the entire road was shut down while the gas line was repaired. Utility work is keeping the inbound lanes closed for now.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities now say the road should reopen around noon. In the meantime, take South Boulevard or Providence Road as alternative routes.
