Special Olympics.
We need a couple of extra hands to set up 14 bocce courts and a number of tents on the infield of the track at Marion Diehl Monday May 30th (Labor Day) for a Special Olympic tournament the next day.
15 of our local middle schools are sending Unified Bocce teams (players with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team) to the tournament. About 40 teams are expected that day.
Special Olympics North Carolina is bringing in all the equipment from Raleigh and it should only take 1 -2 hours to set every thing up if we have a couple of extra hands. We start at 9:00 AM that morning.
The tournament is free to spectators.
