I would be happy to be a part of the team to help change our schools.  While I know our neighborhood has a lot of wonderful points, it unfortunately i don't think can be desirable when you must move as soon as your children become school age.  as others have stated, the only thing that saves us currently, is pinewoods title one status.  However it won't last forever, and we need to make known we want changes.  I have lost two neighbors as their children turned five and they needed to consider schools.  I understand we need to support pinewood, and i think it would be easier to do if we had decent choices for middle and high school.   I appreciate Jarrett and all his hard work.  Howevr, sometimes amore aggressive approach isneeded. For example, why do we not talk to charlott news and observer about why people on providence road are attending alexander graham and myers park when we are being sent to unaccepable schools. I would like to look at the lawsuit that parents previously won about busing.  I happened to know there is already a story planned about Peter Gorman sending his daughter to Charlotte Latin and not a public school.  I think it would be a great segway to talk about zoning and how decisions are made.

Last year, we briefly discussed the rezoning of our middle school, but that seemed even more of a challenge than rezoning our high school. AG is apparently at capacity and the recommendation given to us, was not to focus on the middle school at this time. So, as of now, there hasn't been much discussion around the middle school assignment, but I will include it in any upcoming discussions with CMS. Thanks.

I'm more than open to discuss other suggestions and being more aggressive, etc. Feel free to email me at jkhunt6@hotmail.com and we can discuss next steps, etc. Thanks.
