Get Involved with Madison Central Park

Posted in: Madison Park

Madison Park HOA voted to support the Madison Central Park project at the Old Pinewood site at the 2/14/11 HOA meeting.   Stacey Raynor gave an overview of the plans for the park grant.  Madison Park HOA will pursue the grant.  Business sponsors of the project already are Schneider TreeCare..

Please help find other sponsors that will donate cash, volunteers, or services. All of this will become matchable through an approved grant.

Residents of Madsion Park can volunteer for the project by sending an e-mail directly to

lisacharde@earthlink.net or the madisonparkhoa@hotmail.com with e-mail subject I want to volunteer _________ Number of hours to the park project.   Volunteers who want to pledge via email, we'll need to ask them to send all of the info required on the pledge sheet in their email.  The signature is waived as it is considered "electronic" coming from their email address.  So they should indicated which of the two events they want to pledge (Landscape/Mulch Day and Park Sweep, if not both), their street address, & phone number.

Residents wishing to give cash pledges to the project are much appreciated.   Contact lisacharde@earthlink.net for the official pledge letter for individuals.  Look for a version on our web site under heading Madison Central Park Volunteer Pledge letter.

No work will be done until after the application is submitted and approved in late spring.

All cash donations, HOA donations, in kind donations, equipment donations (value) and volunteer hours are matchable.  The new non professional rate for volunteers is now 20.85 an hour.

Phase 1 of Madison Central Park we would like to seek a full match of 25K.

Putting in a park will take lots of effort from everyone.   It will be a great asset for Madison Park and the Pinewood school.

Please help as much as you can.  Paying your 2011 dues will also help as a portion will be used toward the project.

Look for pledge sheets and the most recent news on Madison

Central Park Grant project under the documents heading Madison Central Park.  The pledge sheet is now available under that heading.

Roundtree also is going to join in on the project.

Remember the businesses that support our community when you might can use their services or goods.

Roundtree gets a visit from me every week. Like old home week there.

A great place to visit to get you through the winter blahs. Children, even babies in strollers, are welcome.
