Good afternoon.  My name is Patricia Poteat, the new Park and Recreation Manager for the South Region which serves your neighborhoods.  On July 26, 2010 @ 6:30 pm @ the Marion Diehl Recreation Center, I will be having a call meeting for the advisory council to present to your neighborhood the proposed Miracle Field that is to be built at the center.  Please get the word at your meeting and in your newsletters so that the residents of these neighborhoods will be in attendance for the meeting.  I will be sending out postcards concerning the meeting to the residents as well.  Thank you for your time.

The meeting covering the "Miracle Field" was held Monday evening.  Five
local residents attended. This is not a Queens University effort, but a
development sponsored by the Miracle League of Charlotte..

They plan to build a small little league size adaptive softball field to
the left of the University entrance on Tyvola.  Works starts in 3-6 months.

The presentation was actually well-received, and the organization showed
they had done their homework.
