Neighborhood Alert – Recent rise in residential burglaries
Neighbors,
We have had a recent rise in burglaries in our response area. We (police) are pooling our resources to increase patrols in the area and work on any intelligence gathering we can come up with to develop suspects. We are asking for your help in keeping a close eye on the activities in your neighborhood. You know better than anyone who does and does not belong in your neighborhood. Watch for cars and individuals you do not recognize. Watch for anyone posing as a worker that does not appear legitimate. Don’t be reluctant to call 911. Call us for anything you see that makes you uncomfortable. Get as much information about the suspicious person or car as you can safely obtain without making direct contact with the person.
The recent burglaries have been occurring on Mondays through Thursdays during the daytime when the majority of people are at work. Please don’t feel this e-mail is intended to frighten anyone or cause undue worry. We are simply seeing a rise in the average number of incidents reported and want to make neighbors aware and alert. The reported incidents have occurred on the following streets:
Edgewater
Candlewood
Woodstream
Wrentree
Cortland
Starbrook
Please share this information with your neighbors.
Thank you
Sergeant Jacquelyn Hulsey
