I had a friend who live at Melrose for 10-12 years, when the original developer bought them,he was given 30 days to vacate. They remained empty for a while and then about 6 or 7 months ago the started leasing them again,he was furious!Typical though.I noticed on the heading of the Charlotte business journal article it said Woodlawn House apartments for seniors.I wonder if it means Charlotte housing is going to make it for seniors or was it for seniors in the past?I'm still waiting to hear back from them.I'll let you know what I find out.

Susan Burgess, Patsy Kinsey, and Andy Dulin really didn't know much about it.  Andy said he saw it in the Business Journal.

I called the Melrose last week and left a message but did not get a call back.

It will be interesting to see what Charlotte Housing tells you.

Refer to meeting minutes when they come out for Nov. 9th Madison Park HOA meeting.  President, Ken Davis mentioned Woodlawn House complex.  The acquisition of the Woodlawn House complex by Charlotte Housing Authority was approved by City Council this evening.  Ken was told it would be for seniors.  There was no mention at the City Council meeting that would be the intended use of the property.    There was NO speakers and No opposition at council.

Mayor Pro Tem Susan Burgess e-mail around midnight and confirmed Woodlawn House would be just for seniors!
