Sidwalks on Woodlawn

Posted in: Madison Park

Inspector Kirk Young said he had spoken with someone today about this very situation and would be addressing the reported locations on Friday 23rd.   He also said he planned to check the entire stretch of road in 1 week.   Kirk is a great inspector and will take care of the problem.

Kirk had spoken to me about some of the houses. He sent out about a dozen letters to homeowners so we'll see what happens. Thanks for info.

He probably gave them 10 days to clean them up.  We had the same thing on Tyvola.  Both streets Tyvola and Woodlawn are way to busy for people not to be able to walk or run on the sidewalks.

The residents along Tyvola took care of their walks in a timely manner.

Chip Gallup, CDOT,  has helped with some hedges in the past on E. Woodlawn when residents in the area were having problems exiting the neighborhood on E. Woodlawn.  The hedges were so far out over the sidewalk drivers could not see to get out on E. Woodlawn safely.

Hopefully the residents will react and take care of the issue for everyone that uses those sidewalks on E. Woodlawn.

You make good points regarding sidewalks.  When residents allow grass to grow over them  they become trip hazzards and are hard to use.  Those sidewalks along E. Woodlawn and Tyvola are not the greatest sidewalks to start out.  So everything property owners can do to keep them clean helps everyone out.
