COMMUNITY ALERT NOTICE

This message is to inform everyone of the recent activities which have been occurring within our neighborhood. The Board has received several complaints concerning those who have decided to use the detention pond at the end of Airy Hall as an off-road obstacle course!

Several motorized vehicles have been spotted in the detention pond.  These vehicles range from golf carts, 4-wheelers, and dirt bikes to 4x4 trucks.  It has also been reported that someone has repeatedly driven through a yard on Litchfield to access the detention pond.  This type of activity creates an immediate nuisance to our residents and negatively impacts the atmosphere of the neighborhood.

Over the past years, we have experienced vandalism to the park's gazebo, benches, lights, and sign.  We have recently received reports of children running their golf carts into the Eleagnus bushes and attempting to drive up the sliding board.  These behaviors are unacceptable and violators must be held responsible for the damages they commit.

The residents of Laurel Hill have always displayed their neighborhood pride by keeping their personal property neat and clean.  We must present the same amount of determination when it comes to protecting our common areas (the front entrance, the park, and the two lots at the end of Airy Hall).  Each one of us must be committed to preventing activities that depreciate the value of our neighborhood.  The Board encourages all homeowners to discuss this information with their children and visitors.   Please inform them that this type of behavior will not be accepted and will result in prosecution by the Board.

The Board is asking everyone to join together to end these inappropriate activities in our communities.  Please pay a little more attention to the activities within our neighborhood.  We encourage residents to try to identify violators by recording license plate numbers, identifying vehicles, or photographing them in the act.  If you notice any suspicious activities, please notify the management company or any member of the LH Board.  If immediate action is required, please do not hesitate to contact the Orangeburg Public Safety Department.
