Kudos to the board for the recent improvements in our community.

The landscaping along Ashley Melisse has been a long time coming.

The additions in and around the playground/park are great and make for a great view.

Now if we could only get a few more trees around the larger ponds to make it nice to sit out on a hot day.

I haven't been able to make a recent board meeting so I wonder what else is instore for us.

Did you know that the improvements you are so eager to praise were done on city of Jacksonville property?  The HOA does not own or have rights to the property along Ashley Melisse.  They spent the residents' money on city property when in fact it is illegal to do so.  The CCR's specifically state that HOA funds must be used on HOA property, not city or private property.  Due to these improvements, year after year our HOA money is being used to fund city property instead of putting it back into our neighborhood.  With the over $70,000 that the BOD has spent on city property and the $50,000 plus that is spent every year to maintain said improvements, we could have built a new community clubhouse at the park or put in a community pool.  They could have put in a new monument sign at the Eagles Creek entrance since the current one is ready to fall over.  There could have been landscaping improvements made at the Eagles Creek entrance on Kernan since it is the one that has the most visibility to passer bys.  But instead it was more important to put money into property that we do not even own!!  Shame on you for supporting our money being flushed down the toilet.
