Trust Maywood Politicians?????

Posted in: Maywood - Broadview
I said back in May, that I was going to share' The Original Proposal For Maywood's First All Season, On-going Farmers' and Cultural Arts Market. The one that I collaborated on with Brain Simms. When he use to return my calls. I understand young brother! But, you were my amoung the few men of integrity, then.

Anyway, here's the proposal:

The Proposal For Maywood's First All Season, On-going Farmers' and Cultural Arts Market

SEL Enterprises, Ltd, a citizens group from Maywood, Bellwood and Oak Park, has joined together to create Maywood's first and only Farmer's and Cultural Arts Market. Unlike most markets, this one will be an all season market with a unique indoor fall and winter market and a festive outside spring and summer market.

WHO IS SEL ENTERPRISES, LTD?

SEL Enterprises, Ltd's primary mission is to create, organize, implement and promote special events and activities designed to strengthen and bridge communities while stimulating commerce by creating employment or business opportunities for communities' residents.

The executive partnership of SEL Enterprises, Ltd, consist of:

Sy Bounds, a life long Maywood resident, community activist, organizer, general contractor, master painter and on-air personality. For many Maywood residents and other neighboring communities, Sy Bounds' name is synomous with progress, change, ingenuity and integrity.

Loretta Ragsdell, started her 25 plus years community and social services career as a youth counsler with the Maywood Recreation Department during the summer of 1974. Ms. Ragsdell has worked closely with the Maywood Police Department as a crisis intervention worker finding placement for the village's runaways and ungovernable teens in addition to serving as a youth juvenile justice advocate. She is a business owner and resident of Oak Park Illinois.

There's more!
I heard them mention your name!

Mr.Bounds, I heard one of the trustee Woll mention your name, when they were talking about having a farmers marker this year. And one of them said that they should contact you, first.

Why are you putting this proposal out here like this? If they already mentioned your name?
You're a trusting soul!

Dear sir or maam,

I see that you still trust Maywood politicians. God bless you!

There were a number of folks who told me what was said at the board meeting, regarding me and the farmer's market.

But, when I tried to contact, Brain Simms, he was to busy. That never happened before. And besides, there has not been any reason at all, that would give me reason to suspect that these Maywood politicians would really do anything that would seiously empower entreprenuer minded residents.

It appears that between the churches and the politicians....Anyone outside of their small niches does not count. But it's o.k. to allow everyone, but Maywoodians to benefit from 'repairing and maintaining Maywood. It almost appears like an occupation. Do they realize that!

I've tried to remind, these hard-headed creatures that' Maywood youth need to learn, these skills, and less entertainment and sport! It's should be about the introspection of creating and developing basic short-term skills, at least that would allow some of our youth to get in on this 'home repair bonanza, that only black Americans are missing ( big time!). Much of what they say, as far I am concerned is: Intellectually non-defensible. There is no legitimate, justification, beyond dishonesty to explain, why they have not supported my projects. I must commend trustee Woll, for having the intestinal fortitude to suggest my name

I thank you,

sy bounds
