Welcome to your neighborhood!
On a warm evening in 1952 a group of neighbors met on one front lawn to discuss the problems of being the pioneering residents of a new subdivision being developed on a prairie at the very edge of Chicago. There were no stores, schools, churches or public transportation. It was a neighborhood of mostly returning WWII vets and lots of children. It was and still is a diverse neighborhood working to preserve a place for children to grow and learn and for older residents to feel safe and among family.
