Hello neighbors and friends,
We are seeing a spike in attempted and some successful home robberies in our neighborhood of late. A couple of houses were hit on Grove (one attempted but someone was home) another was on Cochran but the homeowners alarm went of so the thieves ran away.
Home alarm systems if used do work! Remember even if you do not have a monitoring system but you have an alarm system installed you can still set it and the alarm will go off....Trust me the would be theif does no know if your system is monitored or not.
If you see suspicious people in the neighborhood and they seem to be looking around at houses it maybe be a good time to call PBSO Non-Emergency.....One thing that I noticed over the weekend was to males riding bikes both looked to be in ages of 16-20 and as they were riding one kept staring at every house....Called patrol but they probably had already gone to the park.
The recent events are happening during the afternoon and includes the old trick of knocking on the front door and if no one answers they know that the house in not occupied.
We urge everyone to keep an eye and lets help PBSO "take a bite out of crime"
