Come on people, Concord Street has it's decorations going for Christmas. Where are the rest neighbors? We walked the neighborhood this week and saw only a hnadful of houses decorated. People get in the holiday spirit! Next week is the lighting competition!

I had a thought. Why call it the LEHHNA Lighting Contest? Let's be more accurate and call it the Concord Street Association Lighting Contest. The "judges" will reduce their carbon footprint by just walking up and down in front of the same three or four houses. Better yet, why not just go ahead and make the awards permanent since the same group wins every year anyway (must be an honor to get Third Place two years in a row!). It is a shame (sad actually) that the contest is now a sham. We saw many beautiful house driving around the neighborhood that deserved to be singled out but they were ignored again this year. I wouldn't be surprised if no one got involved next year except for their love of the holidays. My partner said "unbelievable" when the winners were notice on our walk this morning but I argued that, yes, I expected as much. Enjoy your additional 15 minutes of attention but how cold and empty the fake congratulations must feel.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I was just curious Ed. Did you bother to join the group in judging the lights this year?...How many LEHNA meetings have you attended this year?...The committees that judge the lights and the garden of the month are all volunteer and open to your participation. You honestly have alot to say...why not participate in a positive way?

There were quite a few spectacular displya this year throughout the neighborhood. The judging process was indepedant votes and without collaboration. Just as with any voting your candidate may not win and often some keep getting voted in. The more that vote increases the chance of change.
