Neither a late time change nor record breaking warm temperatures could stop this year’s trick-or-treaters. Goblins, super heroes, princesses and the like descended upon Lake Eola Heights and Mother Nature lighted the way with her magnificent moon! Little ones were not the only ones in the spirit as many Halloween parties also energized the neighborhood with costumed adults haunting and cheering the sidewalks. A big ‘thanks’ to those hosting parties who ensured their guests did not block sidewalks.
This year did not disappoint the trick-or-treaters with decorations either! There seemed to be more homes in the spirit, (no pun intended), with decorations from cheerful to fearful! From above to literally down below and everywhere in between decorations covered every corner of some homes. LEHHNA president Dave Martens commented that ‘perhaps some type of recognition should be considered for next year’.
