Since 2004 the city of Las Vegas has been relying on the North Las Vegas Fire Department to protect our community. Their station 56 is the closest fire station to us. Now, with the budget problems they are having, that fire station is closed on days they are short staffed. The city was supposed to build a fire station at Grand Teton and Bradley, but didn't because of station 56. We all need to contact our city council and pressure them into building that station. This affects our home values and insurance rates.
