Association Dues are Due......

Feb 18, 2001

Dear Neighbors,

As the new president of your Homeowners Association, I look forward to the coming year to make some positive changes that will increase the value of our homes & make our neighborhood a great place to live & play.

As a mortgage professional, I see that communities with ACTIVE associations typically have higher home values, lower crime rates, & fewer code violations. Whether it is due to the proper maintenance of the common areas, neighborhood watch programs, or group activities, these neighborhoods have a greater appeal to buyers. While it is impossible to put a dollar figure on the increase in value a strong association provides, I am positive that we can improve our neighborhood WITH YOUR HELP!

Your Association maintains a sense of ?“community?” and interaction in Indian Hills through our bi-monthly meetings & social functions. Volunteers produce our newsletter and maintain our website with each providing a platform to keep you up-to-date on local & community issues, as well as giving you a forum to voice your opinion. Your Association also maintains the common areas of our development, which can be seen in the beauty of our front entrance.

I hope that this year every resident will fulfill his or her dues obligation, no matter past reasons for not doing so. This is a new year with new faces on the Association Board and all we are asking for is $20.00 FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! Most associations charge several hundred dollars per month or more, and provide far less bang for your buck. Payment of your dues is both vital to our continued existence as an association, and it shows that you care about your neighborhood. Quite simply, all of us have an investment in this neighborhood, which must be protected!

Please be a good neighbor and do your share by paying your $20 annual dues. That?’s less than $2 a month to keep your front entrance looking nice & to provide a community atmosphere. If you do not get a chance to mail in your dues, please take a moment to drop them off to either your Block Captain or to any of your Association Officers. This would also be a great opportunity to introduce yourself & up date us on what?’s happening in your life. It also gives us the chance to welcome you as a new or returning member of our association.

I hope everyone had a safe & happy holiday and I look forward to seeing all of you at our next meeting on January 10, 2001 at the Seminole County Library on Oxford Road at 7:30pm.

Sincerely,

Jeffery E. Prescott
