Historic Kenwood

Greetings Neighbors!

Posted in: Historic Kenwood

I find myself in an uncomfortable position.  One Sunday a month I feed the homeless with my church family, (king of Peace), and I consider myself to be a good and generous, kind hearted person.  Yet, there is a serious dichotomy.......I live on 5th Avenue between 30 & 31 St. north.  So also do anywhere from 2 to 8 presumably homeless people.  There is a cement foundation midway through the alley, near dumpster which serves as a great hideout I guess for drinking, and or simply lounging about.  No public facilities of course necessitates peiodic public urinating!  This is my first house.  Like many others, it's value is now far less than when I purchased it in 2005, still I do my best to maintain it, in as neat condition possible.  Everytime I go out the door, and see these folks it angers me.  Minutes ago I went out to find my water, (outside hose) running.....evidentlyy someone needed a refill, and heck, why bother to turn it off, and or return hose to rack, one of the perks I guess of not having to pay St. Pete for the water usage.  Do I have ANY options, save moving away?  Any and all feedback would be appreciated.  Many thanks,

Namaste,

   Cate
