Saturday, Oct. 4.  Thanks to Kate M. and everyone who participated in the cleanup of Briar Creek area around the pedestrian bridge today. Flooding had swept umpteen plastic bottles, a tire and rim, couch cushion, mattress, cellphone, and many other articles which could have hurt wildlife or clogged the creek.  We had a perfect day for it and creek water was low; we even saw some minnows.  Youngest participant was 5, oldest 70 and we all enjoyed the adventure. It really made a difference and plans are to participate in the next Big Sweep.
