Speed Limit Issue

back to 35mph

First of all, thanks Todd for starting this website. Great idea.
I feel that 35mph was just fine. The stop signs serve their purpose, as does the sidewalk. 25mph from Morehead is WAY too slow. No need to go that slow. I used to go about 30, and still do, and that is just fine as far as I'm concerned. People walk on the sidewalks. If they are in the road, you slow down--doesn't matter if it's 25mph or 35mph.
Thanks again, Todd for setting this up for us.

Speedlimit,stopsigns,etc

Okay, 25 mph is completely ridiculous. If half the idiots would USE THE SIDEWALK to either walk, run etc. 30-35 mph should be a ''safe'' speed. It would be even safer if the remaining idiots would learn to use their driveways instead of the side of the road. We paid for the sidwalk now use it. I also love how the 17 ''elite'' were so successful in changing a speed limit for somewhere they have lived for less than a year. And to beat it all, they usually have cars parked on both sides of the street..which is a worse hazard than an additonal 5-10 mph. As far as the stop signs, they were not intelligently placed. Like one poster said you cant go 1/10 to 2/10 of a mile until you get past the third one from Morehead and then its free reign. If one should be anywhere it should be at the Maplecrest intersection. It is a blind curve and you pull out at your own risk...
