Recipes - Butternut Fingers and Ting-a-Lings

BUTTERNUT FINGERS

2 STICKS OLEO
2 1/4 CUPS PLAIN FLOUR
DASH OF SALT
5 HEAPING TBSP. OF XXXX SUGAR
1/2 TSP. VANILLA
1 CUP NUTS (opt.)

Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix well and add a little more flour (the dough should stay together well.) as needed. Roll in fingers (the size of your little finger) or in small balls and press the centers with your thumb. Bake at 300 to 325 degrees until golden brown for about 25 minutes. You may place them close together on your cookie sheet. When cool, shake gently in powdered sugar. (If you make thumbprints - you may decorate centers with buttercream

TING-A-LINGS

Melt one 11 oz. bag of Nestle morsels (butterscotch, milk chocolate or white chocolate) in the microwave in a large mixing bowl. (About 3 minutes will do it.) Stir with a wooden spoon until smooth and creamy.

Stir in a 5 oz can of LaChoy Chow Mein Noodles and a small can of Planter's Cocktail Peanuts. Stir well and spoon out on waxed paper with a teaspoon. Leave it until it dries (about 30 minutes or longer). Store at room temp. ENJOY.
