A few matter of fact observations

 Based on this new letter that was sent out I have a few concerns that have not been properly addressed since I have bought my property and moved in. Yes I will admit I an not 100% up to date on my HOA dues because there are issues stated in the covenant that have not been addressed and have been reported numerous times, so lets begin.....

 

 #1 parking: while yes it has been stated to contact Pickens County, as we have done. Their response has been simply that this is private property, governed by an HoA and they CAN NOT enforce the no parking signs, as it is up to the HoA to handle this.

 

#2 The Pool: In the 4+ years my family and I have lived here we have NEVER received a key or a new code. When we asked for a key we were told we would receive one......... and now there is a code that we have not been given. On the ONE occasion my family went to use the pool, when my wife asked for someone to let her and my children in, she was told she was not allowed as it is for property owners only. When she stated she was a property owner, she was called a liar and told that if she was, she would have a key and people wearing slutty bathing suits like she was probably wearing were not welcome. Now for the record my wife still was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, I know because I was still sitting in my car and over heard the conversation. So I addressed a former member of HoA board, reported the incident, still never received a key and have since NEVER used the pool or have a desire to. HOWEVER when the pool was closed due to a broken phone, a member of the board came to MY house, and asked ME to go fix it, which I did, but my family is not welcome........

 

#3 HoA dues: Why is it when I go to try to pay my dues at the local UPS office where I have been directed to pay them, I am being told that I can NOT pay it there? Oh yeah, because the address listed is incorrect and UPS will not accept the payment, so I double checked the address on 3 news letters I have received... all of them the same, and incorrect, might wanna fix that. The "suite" address is incorrect and the box address is incorrect also.

 

#4 Behavior: Seriously anyone remember a little while back when we had people out in the main drive in the middle of the night? I do, because I had to leave my home which is near the back of the development and go find out what was going on. Seems a teenage girl felt the need to have close to 30 people in her yard and was fighting a few of them, Then went and got a gun and started SHOOTING WILDLY. The shierriff's office was called, a report was filed. Nothing happened.

 

#5 Loitering: Lets face it, we all know who the drug dealers in this development are, we see them everyday, and we see them sit in the pool parking area and smoke out, and yet no one does anything about it. This disregard for behavior is probably why there have been reports of Home Invasions and Vandalism.

 

 I could continue this but I an bored already and realize this will either be erased or ignored. I am NOT  "more than 2 yrs behind" on my dues and am in no risk of having a lien put on my property, but I am hence forth stating I have publicly listed my concerns for the FAILURE this HoA has ALLOWED to exist. Correct your payment address and my next payment will be there, But before you come at me making assumptions, please make sure you are keeping your end of the covenant as well because if you are not keeping your end, then by fact I am NOT obligated to keep mine. I am not trying to be "that guy", I am just being upfront.

 

 

Dear Mr. Crowe this website is not used by the Habersham HOA anymore. Due to the company that controls this website not allowing the HOA to remove it from their website we have to leave it here. We have however provided some updated contact information which is listed on the our information page. As stated in the newsletter we use Nextdoor Habersham and also have provided an email address to contact the HOA.

 

I did want to address the parking situation. What the Sheriff's Department told you was a lie. The HOA has no legal right to remove a vehicle from a public street. I realize they don't want to deal with the problem but the roads in this subdivision are county owned and maintained roads. That means the Pickens County Sheriff's Department has the jurisdiction to patrol and enforce the no parking signs. I have been advised that the current Sheriff Rick Clark has told his deputies to not issue warnings or tickets for people paring on the roadway. Unfortunately if the boss of the Sheriff's Deputies is advising them not to do their job then we can't expect any progress to be made until change the administration in that office.
