As far as the Shirley Sherrod thing- by the time that O'Reilly was on the air with the story, Sherrod had already resigned per vilsak's directive - so what part of any Sherrod thing did Fox News play. I will tell you - none, zilch, nada. Even Matt Lauer told some liberal witch that Fox News did not air anything about that until AFTER Sherrod resigned!

I don't care if it was before or after she resigned.   If it wasn't corrected, it's still wrong.   For some reason I can't find the exact time she resigned.

I watched O'Reilly and indeed he apologized profusely for the error.

Dan Rather apologized profusely too but you don't see him on CBS anynore, but you still see O'Reilly on Fox.   Which is why I said people on Fox don't get fired for airing a hoax but on responsible news outlets they do.

Not an issue.   Fox was still irresponsible in not checking it out before airing or for knowing it was a hoax and airing it anyway.    The same goes for Vilsack for not checking before firing.   I would have thought by now everybody would be extremely leery of a Breitbart tape.   Better yet, beyond leery, just dismiss it out of hand.   His whole history is of a guy who causes trouble.

Fox had nothing to do with her being asked to resign - that was entirely between our former governor and the obama admin and that is the TRUTH!

Even if this is true that's still no excuse for airing a hoax without checking and for O'Reilly still being on the air.   This is not his first offense.

I'm not so sure of that.   After seeing some parts that were left out, it's just as easy to believe the ACORN workers version.
