Wouldn't the rates go up because you insist on reporting it yourself? If my house was damaged and I chose to fix it on my own, my rates wouldn't go up. But if I reported it, then the rates would go up. Isn't this the same concept? Why would you risk increasing rates when its the rates increasing that has you so worked up? Or is this just a form of a threat- fix the equipment now or else I'm going to report it so that the homeowner's association fees go up because the insurance rates go up and then you won't get re-elected.
I also would like to commend Dave on his professionalism. I find it very difficult not to respond in the same tone that this person uses. He is also the only board member that even monitors or responds- he is someone that works for the people and that is a great leader. I hope that he thinks about running for the city council in the future- with his track record with the HOA I would consider voting for him.
