Franklin Estates Residents Association

Newsletter - November 2003

Nov 17, 2003

Hello Neighbors,

Just a quick note to pass along some pertinent information to you.

FE Directory

In mid-October, we launched our first-ever E-Directory via email. If you did not receive the message with the Directory in .pdf (adobe acrobat) format attached to it, please email FranklinEstates@hotmail.com to request a copy. It seems that the anti-virus software is not allowing me to copy and paste any of my own personal email account information in the address line. Therefore, those people whose address is listed before mine on the distribution list have probably been receiving recent messages from me, while those whose names are listed after have not. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Garage Sale

The rain didn't keep some people away from the Franklin Estates Garage Sale in early October! Of course, we did have some neighbors have to cancel their participation due to weather constraints of displaying larger items. About 7 families participated this year. However, the traffic flow was pretty steady - as was the rain!

This year, the garage sale was later in the Fall than usual due to no one volunteering to help coordinate it and based on my personal schedule. I had some requests to have the garage sale in the Spring instead of Fall, as well. So, if you are interested in helping to coordinate it (regardless of the time of year), please let me know. There's not a lot of work to it. In fact, if you have ever planned one just for yourself, it's the same amount of prep work, plus you get to share in the cost of advertising, and you probably get more traffic due to multiple families participating!

Halloween

Trick or treating sure was fun! And, the weather more than made up for the sluggish skies at the garage sale! Thank you to our Parade Coordinators, Kim D'Onofrio and Jeannie Muir and to all who helped make it a success including Rich Mickel, the Donahoes, and the Memons! We all appreciate the work you do to make it a fun, family evening!

Website

If you have not received some of the more recent newsletters from me due to the computer problems that I listed above, please reference our website at www.neighborhoodlink.com/mville/fera and look for "E News" in the left column.

Enjoy this warm weather!
Monica
