I heard thru someone down here that there was some kind of attempted car theft a few mornings ago. Did not get much info. other than it had come over on the radio network people. I guess some people listen in but are not ''members''.
Could someone please post specifics if they know about this? Was it reported to the police?

I don't have all the details, but this is what I heard: Two afro-american males were trying to steal a white car on the 300 block of 41st street. When one of the noticed they were being watched, he got out of the car and went knocking on a house door to make it look like he knew someone in that house, while the other continue to hot-wire the car. I don't know if the got away with stealing the car or what the guys look like. I know 911 was called and it took them approx 90 minutes to respond. Their excuse was because of the shift change and it was a life threathing call. However the door they were knocking on was that of and elderly widow women who was very scared. This happened either Wednesday or Thursday morning around 7 am.

They did not get the car, but the owner must get the steering column repaired, With law enforcement an hour and a half (OR MORE)away, peace in the valley is definitely in our hands!
