The Fire Department is anticipating another dangerous year for wildfires as a result of the predicted weather patterns.

The Fire Department is anticipating another dangerous year for wildfires as a result of the predicted weather patterns.

“Targeting Wildland Fires” is the topic of three free presentations offered during April to provide tips on wildfire prevention. The meetings will be offered at the following locations:

Northeast Oklahoma City (Ward 7 – Councilman Skip Kelly):
April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Oakdale School, 11901 N Sooner Rd

Southwest Oklahoma City (Ward 3 – Councilman Larry McAtee)
April 17 at 7 p.m. at Bridgestone Intermediate Center, 1700 S Council

Southeast Oklahoma City (Ward 4 – Councilman Pete White)
April 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Harmony Christian Church, 7100 S. Choctaw
