I am new in the neighborhood and am absolutely very thrilled and happy about moving here.  I am perplexed concerning the fact that Merle Hay and Beaverdale Associations have such organized associations and have forgivable and low interest loans for things like building garages, upgrading your furnace or air conditioner, etc.  What is Waveland Woods doing to try to make these things available???  Thanks for the info.

Hi there, I just checked out the Neighborhood Finance Corporation website. They determine which areas are eligible for forgiveable/low-interest loans towards neighborhood revitalization.  Although Merle Hay and Beaverdale areas both are in the NFC selected neighborhoods, Waveland Woods is not currently.  Check out the map: http://www.neighborhoodfinance.org/locator.php

It is a great program, as we previously lived North of Grand and took advanatge of it as well.  Hope you are still enjoying living in the Waveland Woods neighborhood.  Our association has been a bit dormant over the past few years, but we have come together again and hope to become even more active in 2013!  Hope to meet in person soon.
