Elvira Neighborhood Association Meeting 7/15/13

Officers Present:  David Densmore, President             

                                    Mikki Niemi, Vice President; Interim Treasurer                       

                                    Tere Filkin, Councilperson ; Interim Secretary

                                    Dorothy Niemi, Historian            

                                                           
Guest Speaker:  There was no guest speaker this month. 

Call to Order:  President David Densmore called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

Moment of Silence

TPD Report:  There were no officer's in attendance.

Minutes:  Motion to accept the June 17, 2013 minutes as written was made by Mikki Niemi and seconded by Oscar Tortosa   Motion was passed by all present.

Treasurers Report:  Treasurer Mikki Niemi reported no change in the. Motion to accept the treasurers report made by Oscar Tortosa and seconded by Tere Filkin.   

Old Business:      

A) A discussion was held concerning the mosaic signs that remain outside of the Elvira Neighborhood Association boundaries.  New B/N signs have been erected in front of the mosaic sign located at Elvira & 6th Ave.  All members present agreed the signs should be moved to within the Elvira Neighborhood Association boundaries. 

B) The by-laws were discussed.  We had finished reviewing them and Mikki Niemi will bring copies to the August 2013 officers meeting to be held one week before the next neighborhood meeting.

New Business: 

A) The Night Out Against Crime which will be held on Tuesday, Oct 1, 2013 is on schedule and more will be discussed at next month's meeting.

Call to the Audience Call:     

A) Mikki Niemi asked for a speaker for next month's neighborhood meeting to discuss small businesses
in the neighborhood.  He will arrange for a speaker.

Adjournment:

Motion to adjourn was made by Oscar Tortosa and seconded by Tere Filkin.   Motion was passed by all present.  Meeting was adjourned at 8:01 p.m.
