EGT COMMUNITY CENTER

The East Gateway Triangle (EGT) Community Center offers FREE services and programs to residents living in the East Gateway Triangle neighborhood of the City of Chester.  The neighborhood is bounded by Edgmont Avenue to the west, Providence Avenue to the east, East 13^th Street to the south and East 24^th street to the north. 

The EGT Community Center located at 2331 Providence Avenue, Chester, PA is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.  Some of the resources available include Laptops for homework, research and personal use with internet access; Wii for entertainment; Resource Center with information on a number of social service agencies and health related issues, books for children to read and games to play for the entire family. We also offer educational, enrichment and fun opportunities for youth and adults in the community.  For adults some of our activities include First-time homebuyer’s information sessions, energy conservation workshops, financial literacy classes, foreclosure prevention workshops, EGT Job club for individuals seeking for a job, computer classes, etc. For youth of all ages, we provide homework and study skills assistance, computer classes, youth entrepreneurship classes, dance, music and theatre classes, reading club, and more.  For teens, the community center serves as a safe place to hangout, create and share.
