The described home burglary occurred in the New Tampa area, grid 230.  I am forwarding the information District Two wide because the suspects could really strike anywhere, also to share a valuable lesson.  If you spot the mentioned vehicle, PLEASE CALL THE POLICE.

 

As reported by from Sgt Hocker, in New Tampa.

 

"On July 28th, in the "5000 Block of Londonderry Drive, Grid 230, Westover Sub-Division.  The suspects entered the residents through an unlocked garage door.  Once inside the garage they had access to the interior of the residence.  Suspects took approx 200.00 cash.

 

As a result of the neighborhood survey, I ascertained the crime occurred between 1 pm and 2 pm.  The suspects apparently went door to door in the Westover sub-division looking for a residence where no one was home.  Two neighbors saw the suspects at the victim's residence, but neither notified the police.  A description is as follows:

 

Suspect Vehicle: Mid sized, silver in color, older model, and appeared to be in bad condition.  No window tint, damage to the left side toward the front consisting of a scratch and dent the size of an apple where the paint had chipped off.

 

Suspects: 4 black males, and 1 black female.  All males had similiar body builds described as tall and thin, with short hair.  All suspects appeared to be 18 yoa or older."

 

As you can tell by the info above, having the garage door unlocked made the entry easy.  Also, having the interior door unlocked made access into the home a breeze.   Lastly, TWO neighbors saw the suspicious behavior, yet did not call the police. 

 

Please send the message to your neighbors in your email trees that it's very appropriate to call the police anytime they feel something is just not right !  Paying attention & following instincts could catch a burglar !
