I think I've heard someone going through my backyard; I'm on the 900 block of W Pampa.  Several times I've heard (mostly awakened by) what sounds like someone landing on my wooden deck that goes right up to the block fence as if they just jumped over it and into my yard.  There's usually a number of dogs barking shortly thereafter (maybe progressing through other yards).

Anyone else experiencing this?  Or am I hearing things and some errant cat has the nearby dogs worked up? 

Mostly happens in the middle of the night (12-2am), but tonight I had something similar happen around 7pm.  By the time I'm out into the backyard, there's nothing to see...

Probably not cats - they would not make noise.  Hopefully someone else knows something more.

I haven't seen this type of activity going on in the neighborhood.  But, please don't hesitate to contact the Mesa Police Department, at 480-644-2211, (non-emergency) to ask them to send a unit out to check.  Better safe than sorry.
