If anyone notices a grey colored car with yellow paint on the front bumper or actually witnessed the following, please call the sheriff and report it.  

We went for a bike ride at about 7pm tonight (6-1-2008) and in the 30 mins we were gone, it appears that somebody jumped our curb in their car, drove through our yard, ran over one of my bushes, and proceeded to hit the fire hydrant. They then peeled out while backing up (tearing up the rocks and leaving skid marks in the driveway) and took off. I called the sheriff and filed a report and they are going to contact whoever maintains the hydrants here since the driver hit it so hard they actually shifted the thing. However, there is nothing more they can do without a witness or a car to look at. This is on the corner of Tresta Way and Shapinsay in the Providence homes.

The scary part is that on most days at that time we are all out front and the neighborhood kids along with my little guys are playing in the yard. They could have killed someone.
