Dry Up Over

Irrigation sheets will be picked up at 7AM on Jan. 23. The schedule will be posted on 7PM Jan. 24.

Only a few irrigation users have not been great to work with, but these people appear to have serious problems. Since we have been threatened and told to butt out, we will no longer be doing irrigation repairs and maintenance.

Please be careful with these people. One of them helped extend the height of standpipes which has caused and continues to cause serious damage to the system. Prior to 2003 when we started doing repairs and maintenance, a user said he did a repair for $200. Since then, we have since done the same repair on many of the standpipes for $12 each--the metal must be purchased. All of our manual labor and welding has been performed by volunteers.

A little bit of maintenance can save a future repair cost. Over dry up, we were going to replace a gate plate and patch a hole in 2 of the standpipes at a cost of $15. This was not done because of the threats. We will continue to set the standpipes for the beginning of each run. We will also try to keep important neighborhood news posted.
