The quorum statement in our legal documents is so confusing that we have gotten input from the lawyer we have on retainer and even his explanation was confusing! It seems to take a law degree to translate our documents. I am positive that only owners in good standing have votes that count. The rest of it is fuzzier. Before you even count up the votes, you first have to meet a quorum which is listed as ??œ1/5 of total members entitled to vote in person or by proxy shall constitute a quorum.??? So far we seem incapable of even meeting that quorum for anything to be passed. And this is where we stall on everything. Speaking of painting the power boxes...did you notice that we finally got Delmarva to do that? It took many emails and a lot of bugging people...but they look like new now! Please notice them as there are so many things that we fight for and are unable to get accomplished. About the mailboxes: I am still waiting for a return call. It is interesting that the guy answering the phone at the post office did not have a ready answer about who owns them. I certainly hope that you are right and that it is their responsibility because then all we have to do is to start bugging them about getting them painted or replaced.
