ALISA ORDUNA SNEED

Alisa Orduna Sneed was today appointed the new Executive Director of The Partnership CDC (community development corporation). “We are excited to appoint someone with such new energy and vision,” says CDC Board Chair Legora Ragland. “The process worked….when we started, we had no idea who the new Director would be, but during the interview process it became clear that Ms. Sneed was the best candidate,” added Search Committee Chair and Managing Director of the HAY Group Dr. Murray Dalziel.


Experience

Ms. Sneed brings over ten (10) years of government and non-profit management experience to The CDC. Prior to her new appointment, she served as Director of Special Projects for the office of Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell. There she was responsible for real estate and economic development projects under the Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI). She also interfaced with public/private developers, the Redevelopment Authority (RDA), the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD), the office of NTI, and the Philadelphia Commerce Department. Prior to that, she served as Program Manager for People’s Emergency Center’s (PEC) job training program for formerly homeless women. Ms. Sneed holds a B.A. Cum Laude from Xavier University in New Orleans, a Master of Public & International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh, and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Bilingual and Bicultural Studies at LaSalle University

Replacing Blane Fitzgerald Stoddart, outgoing Executive Director

Blane Fitzgerald Stoddart, outgoing Executive Director will be pursuing career interests in the private sector as of March 1, 2006.

The Partnership CDC is dedicated to addressing the issues of affordable housing, job creation and economic development in inner city Philadelphia. Over the past 10 years, The CDC has created over 340 units of affordable housing, created 112 new jobs and invested over $60 million dollars in West Philadelphia. The CDC plans to invest an additional $50 million dollars in the community by 2008.
