Casa Del Monte Area

Andrews Ave & NE/NW 53rd Court

Posted in: NANA

We had yet another accident at this corner. The median foliage & trees makes it almost impossible to see when making a left turn from NE/NW 53rd Court on to Andrews Ave. You can't see until you are halfway across the street and the middle area is so small & tight you are sticking out on either your front or back end, even with a small car.

Can't someone go out and take a look at this? Not that I want a traffic signal on my street, but it sure would be better than what's going on now.

i sent your email to Oakland Park's Park and Leisure dept to determine what the intersection needs and what the city can do to correct the problem. and i agree with you before construction we had grass and trees and you could see when you turned, now you can't.

we contacted the city and Brian Hopper from parks and leisure drove with Ross Marinaro around the area and agreed that you could not see to safely cross the intersection.

Brian Hopper from the city would like your input on the issue since you raised the question.

please contact him at 954-630-4508
